Careful beer!
Scientists investigating the problem of alcoholism, quite reasonably consider it illegal to divide alcoholic products according to the degrees of their harmful effects on the body, since there are no harmless ones among them.
Contrary to such an attitude, beer producers, advertising their goods, strive to increase the influx of buyers by the fact that beer is not alcoholic, but "low alcohol", supposedly harmless and almost healthy "drink". And this is despite the fact that in recent years the alcohol content in beer has reached 14% in some varieties (ie, it corresponds to wines in alcohol content).
Beer alcoholism
It has been known for a long time that beer alcoholism exists. And although in the eyes of the layman it is less dangerous than wine and vodka, its consequences are devastating. In the 19th century, the British, fighting alcoholism, decided to supplant strong alcoholic products with beer. But soon the "beer law" had to be canceled, since its introduction only aggravated drunkenness. The first Reich Chancellor of Germany, Bismarck, who knew firsthand about the harmful effects of drinking beer, gave the following definition of beer alcoholism: “Beer makes people lazy, stupid and powerless” (the term “powerless” meant impotence).
The harmful effects of beer on the heart
The most destructive and harmful consequence of excessive consumption of beer is heart disease or, as the German physician Professor Bolinger called it, "beer heart". There is an expansion of the cavities of the heart, thickening of its walls, necrosis in the heart muscle, a decrease in mitochondria, etc. These changes are associated with the presence of cobalt in beer, which is used as a stabilizer of beer foam. The content of this toxic element in the heart muscle in beer drinkers exceeds the permissible norm by 10 times. In addition, in beer drinkers, cobalt causes inflammation in the esophagus and stomach.
There are other factors that interfere with the work of the heart in beer alcoholism. This is, first of all, the saturation of beer with carbon dioxide. Once in the body, beer quickly overwhelms the blood vessels. This leads to varicose veins and expansion of the borders of the heart. This is how the beer heart syndrome or nylon stocking syndrome occurs, when the heart sags, becomes flabby and does not pump blood well.
Beer is harmful to the human hormonal system
The "cones" of hops used in the preparation of all types of beer contain 8-prenylnaringenin (8-PN) - a substance belonging to the class of phyto-estrogens ("phyto" - a plant, "estrogen" - a female sex hormone). Similar compounds are found in some other plants, for example, in red clover, alfalfa. Traditional medicine has long known about this phenomenon, and therefore the shepherds carefully monitored that the livestock did not consume too many of these plants. Otherwise, it threatens with infertility, which was observed, for example, in Australia in sheep when they were grazed exclusively on red clover. However, it should be noted that 8-PN surpasses all other phyto-estrogens in its hormonal strength by 10-100 times and is close in activity to the human hormone estrogen.
If we talk about the differences between a man and a woman, then they are primarily determined by the fact that the male hormone (testosterone) is produced in the man's body, and the female hormone (estrogen) in the woman's body. It is the action of these substances that determines not only the external difference between a man and a woman (without them, the internal and external genital organs are not formed at all), but also gives a man great muscle strength, a corresponding figure, facial hair, a man's voice and character, and a woman - a woman's figure , lack of facial hair, softer voice and feminine character.
So, in the body of men with the systematic use of beer, a substance is released that suppresses the production of the male sex hormone testosterone. At the same time, there is an excess of female sex hormones that cause changes in the appearance of a man. In men who drink beer, the mammary glands grow, the pelvis becomes wider. Women who drink beer are more likely to get cancer, and if they are a breastfeeding mother, the baby may have epileptic seizures. Also, women have a rougher voice and the so-called "beer mustache" appear.
Severe consequences of beer alcoholism
Based on studies conducted in 1985 in paid clinics in Canada, it was found that the diagnosis of "palpable liver" is most often diagnosed in people who drink beer.
Studies carried out in many countries show that alcoholism develops 3-4 times faster from drinking beer than from other alcoholic products.
The harm of beer to the human body is very extensive. This is the death of brain cells (which, dying, enter the bloodstream, are filtered out by the kidneys and leave in the urine), and dysfunction of the spinal cord, myocardial dystrophy, liver cirrhosis, hepatitis, pancreatitis, gastritis, neuropathies, damage to the visual and auditory analyzers. There is also a proven correlation between beer consumption and an increase in blood pressure. One of the serious complications of beer alcoholism is lactic acidosis and hypo-natremia.
Patients with beer alcoholism end up in hospitals in an extremely serious, neglected condition, most often with severe dementia and a decrease in personal assessment.
Beer is a drug that causes aggression
Beer is a legalized drug paving the way for other, more powerful drugs. It is the consumption of beer that is the root cause of the crippled lives of millions of our compatriots. Narcologists claim that alcohol is the most aggressive of drugs, and beer alcoholism is characterized by particular cruelty. This explains the end of the beer orgy with fights, murders, rapes and robberies.
An employee of the Department of Biomedical Foundations of Human Life at the Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University S. Anikin in his article "Beer is not milk" gives a number of examples confirming the above. An analogy of his data on the disastrous consequences of drinking beer for society, especially for the younger generation, are the events of May 2002 on Manezhnaya Square in Moscow, when football fans excited by beer staged "large-scale demonstrative beatings" not only of compatriots, but also of citizens of other countries. A graduate of one of the Moscow schools was beaten to death, who happened to be in a crowd of drunken teenagers and young people, smashing cars and shop windows, brutally beating people who came to hand ... All these events confirmed: aggression gives rise to alcohol and idleness.
Growth in beer consumption in Russia
Judging by the level of beer produced and sold, Russia is one of the countries whose population occupies "leading" positions in the consumption of this product, which is still considered low-alcoholic and even "non-alcoholic". And this is despite the fact that Gennady Onishchenko, on behalf of all medicine, appeared in Uchitelskaya Gazeta with an article on the harmful effects of drinking beer. According to the research carried out by the Department of Biomedical Foundations of Safe Viability of Krasnoyarsk State University, out of four thousand interviewed people aged 7 to 20 years, 48% of first-graders consisted of alcoholic beverages, which is 12 times higher than the indicators of 10-12 years ago. As G. Onishchenko stated, the growth of beer consumption in the country is taking place "at the expense of adolescents and women of childbearing age. "
The myth of a domestic beer producer
How can one explain the lack of understanding of this terrible prospect on the part of Russian legislators? It is believed that beer production and trade replenish the state budget. Based on this, the beer consumer is a true patriot of Russia, helping the domestic producer.
There are currently about 250 breweries in the Russian Federation. Their absolute number belongs to foreign capital. For example, revenues from Nevsky beer go to Denmark, Holster beer - to Germany, Miller - to America, Stary Melnik - to Turkey, Fat Man - to Belgium, Bochkarev - to Spain, " Gold Barrel "- to South Africa. The profits from the beer of the Baltika concern, as well as from the OA Pikra beer, go to Scandinavia. Consequently, beer fans support not domestic but foreign producers, which is not identical to the concept of "patriotism".
7 facts about beer
Fact 1. Beer is more harmful than other alcoholic products, since during the fermentation process there are preserved toxic compounds (aldehydes, methanol, ethers ...).
Fact 2. Beer alcoholism is a serious illness. For him, the so-called "anosognosia" is very characteristic, that is, a complete denial of the disease. To drink beer you don't need a set table or even a formal reason for drinking: you can drink alone, in a company, at home, on the street, sitting, or on the go, etc. Therefore, from the point of view of narcology, beer alcoholism is a severe, most difficult to treat variant of alcoholism.
Fact 3. Beer is the greatest self-deception of all nations. One bottle of beer is equivalent to 50-100 grams of vodka, depending on the strength. By drinking 5-6 bottles of beer, you can get a dose of ethyl alcohol equal to a bottle of vodka. But psychologically you are protected: drinking a bottle of vodka a day is an obvious alcoholic, and drinking 2-3 liters of beer is an "ordinary" person. In addition, statistics show that vodka consumption is growing along with beer consumption.
Fact 4. Most people remember that at first they did not like the taste of beer, they rather found it disgusting and bitter. However, drinking was perceived as a symbol of adulthood. Whatever useful and medicinal properties are attributed to hops, its resins, being carcinogens, inevitably do their pernicious work, in particular, they contribute to the development of cancer of the digestive tract.
Fact 5. Many believe that by drinking beer, they satisfy their daily need for almost all the necessary elements and vitamins. But what they don't know is that during the brewing process, the concentration of vitamins inevitably decreases and as a result becomes zero.
Fact 6. Beer washes out proteins, fats, carbohydrates and trace elements from the body, especially potassium, magnesium and vitamin C. With a deficiency of potassium, heart rhythm disruptions occur, dry skin, pain in the calves, weakness in the legs. Magnesium deficiency is dangerous because the mood background changes, a person becomes irritable, whiny, and does not sleep well. With the washing out of vitamin C, immunity decreases, brain hypoxia develops, intelligence suffers, and colds occur more often. Therefore, there can be no question of the benefits of beer for the kidneys. The kidneys have to pass huge amounts of beer through themselves and cleanse it. In principle, we cannot talk about benefits.
Fact 7. Due to the toxic effect on the adrenal glands, alcohol blocks the production of androgens in them, which cause sexual desire. Therefore, the first payback for drinking beer will be a decrease in sex drive and, as a result, impotence.
